Welcome to my writing life. This is where you can find what A.W. Tozer says is the most important thing about me, my thoughts on God. “What comes into our mind when we think about God is the most important thing about you.” (The Knowledge of the Holy)
My thoughts this far into my life are a result of a personal God who has pursued me in such a loving and patient way. What intrigues me most is the question of how God pursues and how we are meant to search. We aren’t meant to have the kingdom of God revealed to us easily or quickly. We were told to search, to consider, to lift heavy things, and look underneath.
I know we forget. I forget as I walk and talk and live life that my immortal soul is enfleshed, locked in a mortal body. I forget my spiritual identity and remember my physical identity. I think too long and too often on the ashes and the dust rather than the breath of God within me.
And so I write about how to be more creative in observing the life in front of us. Let’s look at it all, the beautiful, the ugly, the chaotic, and the calm peace of God’s presence right in the middle of it all. Let’s leave behind old thoughts and wrong notions about a God who is ready and waiting for us to recognize His presence right here and right now.

Divorce can unravel identity, shake faith, and bring overwhelming grief, anger, and hopelessness. In Unwavering Love, Jennifer C. Williams offers a deeply personal account of navigating divorce and the raw emotions that come with it—without pretense, clichés, or easy answers.

What does life look like when we become able to remember that God loves us still, no matter what? Through doubts and difficulties, our own messes, and the messes of others, God invites us to get to know Him better to bring us deeper into a more personal relationship. A relationship where we are and will always remain unmoved.
